What Is Bruxism, TMJ?
Bruxism is the technical term for teeth grinding and clenching that abrades teeth and may cause facial pain. People who grind and clench, often called bruxers, unintentionally bite down too hard at inappropriate times, such as during sleep. Many people are unaware that they even have bruxism since it often occurs while they're sleeping. If you wake up with dull headaches or vise-like pain, you may be one of many people suffering from bruxism.Your dentist can usually detect the telltale signs of bruxism on your teeth.

Bruxism can either directly or indirectly cause many problems. Grinding can cause teeth to become painful or loose. Patients can literally grind away parts of their teeth, leaving them with worn surfaces or fractured enamel. People who have otherwise healthy teeth and gums can clench so often and so hard that over time their teeth become sensitive and they experience jaw pain and headaches. Forceful biting when not eating may cause the jaw to move out of proper balance.
Grinding is a common occurrence among many people at some time or another. If you develop facial pain, fatigue or other problems, treatment may be needed. Talk with your dentist if you suspect that you are grinding your teeth. During regular dental visits, they usually check for physical signs of bruxism. When a person has bruxism, the tips of the teeth look flat. Teeth are worn down so much that the enamel is rubbed off, exposing the inside of the tooth, which is called dentin. When exposed, dentin may become sensitive. Bruxers may experience pain in their temporomandibular joint (TMJ), or the jaw, which may manifest itself as popping and clicking. One out of every 10 Americans suffers from chronic headaches, and spend over half a billion dollars every year for over-the-counter medications to relieve their pain. TMJ may cause headaches as a result of a bad bite. A bad bite can put your jaw-to-skull relationship out of alignment.

When this happens, TMJ symptoms occur. This cluster of TMJ symptoms can include: headaches, earaches, ear ringing, loud jaw clicking, even stiffness and pain in the jaw, neck, shoulders and back.

Non- surgical therapies for both bruxism and TMJ may include the wearing of an occlusal splint/nightguard to prevent wear and tear on both the teeth and the joints.

If you suffer from bruxism and TMJ, or your dentist has suggested the use of a nigh guard/occlusal splint, we can help. You Can Order a night guard directly from our lab and save hundred of dollars. No dentist needed.

The differences are, you will take your own impressions and save a lot of money.

Skeptical, Don’t Think It Can Be Done? Don't Think You Can Take Your Own Impressions? Look At What Some Of Our Satisfied Customers Had To Say.

“THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You saved me a whole lot of money! I can't believe that I really only paid $99.99. Incredible! I didn't think it was true that I could get this mouth guard for such a great price. I must say, I was really concerned that your company wasn't reputable at first. You know how we are about paying for things over “the internet, but It was worth a try. I am so very pleased with the outcome. The mouth guard is so comfortable, that when I wake up during the middle of the night I don't even know it's there. There's no rubbing up against my gums and it fits perfectly. I have already spread the news about your company, I even past it on to my Neurologist, who I was seeing for headaches. He recommended getting a night guard since I was grinding my teeth. Most of his patients are people that can't afford the mouth guards from the dentist or people who do not want to spend such a vast amount of money, like myself. I would definitely recommend this mouth guard to anyone that suffers from TMJ headaches.

"I've been meaning to write you an email! Just to make sure the new nightguard is safe for my teeth, I took it to the dentist yesterday. He said it looks fine, and was amused with how I was able to get it! I'm still getting used to how it feels, but the nightguard fits snugly and has already started alleviating my headaches. I really can't thank you enough.”

“So far, I am very pleased with my new night guard. I've only had it a week or so. I like the flexible material which is easier on the gums. My previous night guards would sometimes aggravate my gums and cause some swelling. My headaches are much less frequent so it's doing it's job. It's extremely comfortable and being that's it fits the lower teeth, much easier to talk and somehow seems less intrusive. The customer service has been a pleasure. My questions were answered in a timely manner, whether via email or phone, and in a very professional and courteous manner.”
Carolyn Hodges

"Dear Sir: I did want to take a minute to tell you how pleased i am with your nightguard. I love the soft plastic. It is much better than the hard plastic that dentists were using 5 years ago. Maybe they still are. I appreciated the second chance on making the mold I had to redo it but knowing that i had another chance was very comforting. I am pleased that you are not pushing the price up just because dentists are charging an unconscionable amount for something they do very little work. again thank you and i shall use you again and certainly will recommend you to anyone I know that needs a nightguard"
